Andrew Ross Sorkin is an award-winning journalist for The New York Times and a co-anchor of Squawk Box, CNBC’s signature morning program. He is also the founder and editor-at-large of DealBook, an online daily financial report published by The Times that he started in 2001. Sorkin is the author of “Too Big to Fail: How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System — and Themselves,” which chronicled the events of the 2008 financial crisis. The book won the 2010 Gerald Loeb Award for Best Business Book, and was shortlisted for the 2010 Samuel Johnson Prize and the 2010 Financial Times Business Book of the Year Award, and was adapted as a movie in 2011. Sorkin was a co-producer of the film, which was nominated for 11 Emmy Awards. Today we had a visit from NewsdayTV’s Senior Lifestyle Host, Elisa DiStefano, as she interviewed Broadway star and inaugural Artist-in-Residence at Long Island University, Adam Pascal! The interview took place on our Concert Hall stage, and covered everything Adam, including his role as Director of the world premiere production of “Feels Like the First Time - The Foreigner Musical,” which will have its run next April and feature students from LIU’s Post Theatre Company, his views on teaching, his appearance at our September 5 acoustic Foreigner show, as well as Adam’s solo appearance here on November 23.
