Celebrate Mother’s Day “Broadway-style” with a special matinee concert created exclusively for Tilles Center and celebrating the immeasurable contribution of Leading Ladies to the success of the American musical. Five of Broadway’s finest vocalists will recreate their most memorable musical moments and career highlights as well as demonstrate their versatility, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes and participate in an enlightening and entertaining question-and-answer session with our audience. Scheduled performers are Darlesia Cearcy (Erzulie in Once on This Island; How To Dance in Ohio; The Book of Mormon; The Color Purple; Ragtime; Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed; The Goodbye Girl); Keri Rene Fuller (Jane Seymour in Six the Musical; Waitress); Drama Desk Award recipient Lisa Howard (Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee; Tammy in Escape to Margaritaville; Jenny Steinberg in It Shoulda Been You; South Pacific; 9 to 5; Priscilla Queen of the Desert); Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins; Liane d’Exelmans in the Broadway revival of Gigi and Dorian Leigh in War Paint); and Kissy Simmons (longest running Nala in The Lion King). Musical selections will include songs from Waitress; Cats; Les Miserables; Six the Musical; The Lion King; Mary Poppins; Once on This Island; South Pacific; The Sound of Music; She Loves Me; Tarzan; Carousel; My Fair Lady; Smokey Joes Cafe and more!!!
