Singer/songwriter Robert Arleo has adapted his original love songs into a new musical, sure to delight and move audiences. LOVE STORIES: NEAT OR ON THE ROCKS features the universal aspects of love, including meeting, dating, wooing, marriage, separation, emotional exhilaration/exhaustion and, yes, heartache and heartbreak. In sum, the many ramifications of the human desire to love and to be loved. The musical is set in “HADLEYS”, a fictional bar, with a group of different players, each telling a story of an important love experience to one of two bartenders, who listen, comment and offer advice based upon experience as a “bar psychiatrist of love”. As trusted and wise sages of the human condition, the bartenders do not disappoint in dispensing their knowledge of the aspects of love, gained after many years of tending bar at Hadleys, listening to tales of love as told by uninhibited patrons.
Each story is a separate scene, 12 in total. After telling his/her story, the player sings an original song written by Robert Arleo, sure to make the audience laugh, smile, cry, remember and appreciate any good luck in love by relating their own love experience (be it neat or on the rocks) to Robert’s songs, experiencing the many emotions which the power of love and music can elicit. The connection between love and music is worldwide, and LOVE STORIES: NEAT OR ON THE ROCKS will move the audience as only the music of love can.
