Come early to experience the Space Exploration Room!
The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium will be hosting a “Space Exploration Room,” which will include a solar telescope where users can observe the sun safely, a Gravity Well that demonstrates how the Sun’s gravity keeps planets in orbit, lenses and prisms that demonstrate how light can be refracted to create rainbows, and a scale model of the Earth and the Moon to demonstrate the relative sizes and distances.
About the Performance
Join the Massapequa Philharmonic and Music Director David Bernard as they transport you in an exploration of the solar system and universe. Featuring a performance of Gustav Holst’s “THE PLANETS,” with both commentary and a presentation of NASA imagery by Dr. Jackie Faherty, senior scientist and astrophysicist at the American Museum of Natural History and Hayden Planetarium. Don’t miss this unforgettable experience.

FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME – THE FOREIGNER MUSICAL
In collaboration with legendary rock band FOREIGNER, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts and Long Island University’s Post Theatre Company proudly announce the creative team and performance schedule for the first production of Feels Like the First Time – The Foreigner Musical. The show will take place at the Little Theatre on LIU’s Brookville campus, where it will play eleven performances beginning Friday, April 17, 2026, through Sunday, April 26, 2026.
