Event Details
Shakespeare’s greatest love story comes to life in a powerful fusion of music and theater. The Massapequa Philharmonic, led by Music Director David Bernard, performs masterpieces inspired by Romeo and Juliet, including selections from Prokofiev’s ballet, Tchaikovsky’s Overture-Fantasy, and highlights from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story featuring Broadway soprano Sarah Ellis and tenor Marek Zurovsky.
Interwoven with the music, actors from the LIU Theater Department bring Shakespeare’s words to the stage, creating an unforgettable journey of passion, conflict, and destiny.
Experience the grandeur of the orchestra, the brilliance of acclaimed vocalists, and the timeless poetry of Shakespeare—all in one symphonic experience.
