2023-24 RESIDENCIES
Tilles Center is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) andJazz at Lincoln Center (JALC), as part of its 2023/24 season
We are excited to announce American jazz vocalist, Samara Joy, the 2023 Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album, on Sunday, October 22 at 7 pm!
Samara's rich and velvety vocals have been compared to the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and her critically acclaimed debut album, Linger Awhile, is a nostalgic stroll through well-known and obscure standards.
Recently featured on the Today Show, NPR, ET, as well as garnering millions of views on TikTok, Samara is cementing her status as perhaps the first Gen Z jazz singing star, whose performances have been selling out across the globe.
We hope you join us for this very special evening.
Presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Jazz programming at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post is made possible, in part, by Sandy and Eric Krasnoff.
