Meet The Unconventional Singers. An a cappella vocal ensemble. Endless styles. One bold mission. Performance takes place in the Goldsmith Atrium.
Born in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, The Unconventional Singers came together after a standout performance in Florence - a mix of musicians, opera singers and a composer, and longtime friends with one shared vision: to break the rules of classical singing and make vocal music fresh, fun, and fiercely creative.
Specializing in a cappella, they blend vocal mastery with genre-bending flair. From Renaissance to rock, Puccini to pop, every performance is a deep dive into vocal color, harmony, and expression. Under the artistic direction of composer-arranger Concetta Anastasi, they push boundaries and reinvent tradition - one note at a time.
Since 2021, their international journey has taken them from Italy to New York City, with annual shows at Lincoln Center and beyond, spreading the power and beauty of Italian singing around the globe.
