LIU Campus Connections

Tilles Center hosts professional artists on the LIU campus to work with students over several weeks, a semester or a full year. Past residencies have included partnerships with the Martha Graham Dance Company (featured on the PBS ALL ARTS Network), Massachusetts-based Jacob’s Pillow Dance, the Knights orchestra, Pilobolus dance company, and many more.

World-class touring artists that perform on the Tilles stages often teach dance, theater or music master classes for enrolled LIU students, based on artist availability.

Previous LIU master classes have included artists such as Pilobolus, Deke Sharon, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, New York Theatre Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and more.
