Artist-in-Residence

Tilles Center hosts professional artists on the LIU campus to work with students over several weeks, a semester or a full year. Past residencies have included partnerships with the Martha Graham Dance Company (featured on the PBS ALL ARTS Network), Massachusetts-based Jacob’s Pillow Dance, the Knights orchestra, Pilobolus dance company, and many more.

LIU Master Classes

World-class touring artists that perform on the Tilles stages often teach dance, theater or music master classes for enrolled LIU students, based on artist availability.

Previous LIU master classes have included artists such as Patti Lupone, Kelli O'Hara, Gavin Creel, Pilobolus, Deke Sharon, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, New York Theatre Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and more.

Faculty Ticket Requests & Student Tickets

LIU Faculty Ticket Requests

Faculty may request tickets to Tilles Center performances that are assigned to students as part of course requirements. Tilles Center's Arts Education Program underwrites the cost of these tickets, which are subject to availability, for students and faculty.

Please submit all requests at least ten days prior to the performance.

LIU Students

Students can purchase discounted tickets to most Tilles Center events. Full-time LIU students (minimum 12 credits undergraduate, 9 credits graduate). Tickets start at $25 with valid LIU identification. Conditions and terms apply, and supplies are limited. Inquire at the Box Office for more details.
