Award-winning journalist, presidential historian, and bestselling author Jonathan Alter comes to Tilles Center for “Why Our Democracy Will Endure: Jonathan Alter on the Historical Context of Current American Politics.” A former longtime senior editor and columnist for Newsweek and a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, Alter is the author of several acclaimed books on American presidents and pivotal moments in U.S. history. In this timely talk, he places today’s political climate in historical perspective and makes the case for the resilience and enduring strength of American democracy.
